Christina Discusses Charitable Giving at CVPH Virtual Event

The Foundation of Champlain Valley Phsyicians Hospital and Christina Ubl headshotIn early June, Christina joined a panel of local experts to discuss simple ways to give during the "Securing our Region's Future with Gift Planning" virtual event hosted by The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) and their local partners, Alice Hyde Medical Center and Elizabethtown Community Hospital.

The panel was comprised of Christina, Nick Eells, CPA and CGMA at The Hoffman Eells Group CPAs and Bradley Fletcher J.D., Senior Planned Giving Officer at the University of Vermont Health Network. The three local experts discussed the less commonly known ways that people can donate to nonprofit organizations and the beneficial tax implications that they have. as well as answering questions from the virtual attendees during this hour long event. The panel was prefaced by a short personal story about why the guest speaker decided to give back, and what led to their legacy decision

Christina discussed why choosing an option like donating capital gains, inherited IRA's, and required minimum distributions could be beneficial to you too, when thinking about giving back.
