Heidi Clute
Whether she's riding her Indian motorcycle or independently
managing more than $100 million of client assets,
Heidi Clute knows how to select a destination and
get there, never forgetting to enjoy the trip. It's
an approach that is tailor-made for financial planning,
from helping clients identify their financial aspirations
to successfully pursuing tactics to achieve their
goals.
Heidi believes that
financial values are as unique and personal as freckles.
Her approach to working with clients focuses on an
individual's own definition of financial success.
This style is drawn from her personal experience with
changing financial needs and goals over time –
from being a college student who considered having
20 cords of wood a sign of financial independence
to a woman who today values travels, volunteers in
her community and runs a successful business.
Heidi is
the owner of Clute Wealth Management in Plattsburgh
NY, an independent firm and Registered Investment
Advisor that provides strategic
financial and investment planning for individuals
and small businesses in the Champlain Valley region
of New York and Vermont. One of five Clute daughters
and a twin, Heidi grew up in Plattsburgh and earned
a bachelor's degree from State University College
at Plattsburgh. She opened the Heidi Clute Agency
in 1984, and has worked tirelessly for more than
two decades to establish a successful full-service
financial planning firm, which today manages more
than $100 million in assets.
Heidi is a Certified
Financial Planner (CFP®) and holds securities
licenses in 16 states. She is one of the top 250
independent advisors* offering securities through
LPL Financial, Member FINRA/SIPC, which is
the largest privately-held independent broker/dealer
in the U.S. (Independent broker/dealers do not sell
proprietary products.) Heidi is a member of the Financial
Planning Association, the Women Business Owners Network
(Vermont Upper Valley, New Hampshire and Upstate
New York), the Plattsburgh Rotary, the National
Association of Women Business Owners and a founder
of the Women's Professional Business Club perpetual
scholarship fund for SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton
Community College. She was also honored with a distinguished
service award from SUNY Plattsburgh.
Heidi has been lecturer
and instructor at Clinton Community College and SUNY
Plattsburgh on topics including educational funding
and budgeting, pre-retirement and retirement planning,
life insurance needs, beginner investing, and tax
shelter investments. Heidi is active in civic organizations,
including serving as a member of the Strand Restoration
Committee. She resides in Plattsburgh, NY.
